Description
NAICS Code: 235210 In accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 13 Procedures, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requires painting of the Large Soak Area and Vehicle Overhead Doors. This is a small business set-aside. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the following work at the United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2565 Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan. All work to be accomplished as required by specifications and drawing. Any work performed during weekdays shall be performed after 5pm. Work may be performed on weekends. Description of Work: CLIN 0001. A. Walls - Patch, spot prime and paint all painted surfaces to the height of the ceiling, including piping (excludes red piping) attached to walls. Apply two(2) coats of paint below cut line in entire area. Paint and color for all walls will be Harmony Low-Odor Interior Latex Egg-Shell SW1234 or approved matching color. B. Pedestrian Doors(forty-four) - Patch, spot prime and apply two coats of METALATEX Semi-Gloss Acrylic Coating SW1237 or approved matching color. C. Remove all dust, dirt and other deterrents to even/smooth paint adhesion. Fill holes, cracks, and other depressions with patching compound, finished flush with adjacent surface, with texture to match texture of adjacent surface. D. Paint shall be applied by spray, brush or roller method as deemed necessary to sufficiently cover all wall surfaces. Finished painted surfaces shall have solid even color, free from runs, lumps, laps or other defects. E. Protection - Protect all unpainted surfaces from paint droppings and spattering by use of masking, drop cloths, removal of items (all removed items must be replaced in original locations) or by other approved methods. F. Clean up - Upon completion, clean paint from all hardware, glass and items not required to be painted. The following areas are included in the area to be painted under CLIN 0001: Area 1 Two Brick Pillars - 20' H x 1-1/2' W x 1-1/2'L Area 2 Three sections of walls that extend from the back wall Section A - 8'H x 7-1/2"W x 42'L Section B (two parts) - 8'H x 7-1/2"W x 10-1/2'L & 8'H x 7-1/2"W x 9-1/2'L Section C - 8'H x 7-1/2"W x 42"L Area 3 Stairway Exit - 34 feet from the top stair to the back wall. Also include painting of ceiling (16' x 4') at the bottom of the stairs. 2. Movement of Equipment and Cabinets - The EPA shall assume responsibility for equipment and cabinet moving required to access walls for painting. 3. Work Not to be Painted: A. Pre-finished items, ceiling, red pipes B. Moving and operating parts: Mechanical and electrical parts such as valve stems, operators and sensing devices C. Labels: Any identification plates, instruction plates, performance rated nomenclature, etc. Description of Work: CLIN 0002 A. Vehicle Overhead Doors(thirteen) - Patch, spot prime and apply two coats of METALATEX Semi-Gloss Acrylic Coating SW1237 or approved matching color. B. Remove all dust, dirt and other deterrents to even/smooth paint adhesion. Fill holes, cracks, and other depressions with patching compound, finished flush with adjacent surface, with texture to match texture of adjacent surface. C. Paint shall be applied by spray, brush or roller method as deemed necessary to sufficiently cover all wall surfaces. Drawings shall be provided at that meeting or may be provided upon request.
