- Description
- The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit Request for Quote, and award a Brand Name Only, Firm-Fixed Price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, for Digital Voice and Medi/Scribe System. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested, and a written request for quotation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this announcement is FM28232322001, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The requirement is for ALL NEW PARTS. No USED OR REFURBISHED. This requirement is for Full and Open Competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541512, with a small business standard size of $21M. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard, if you meet the Government requirements. The requirement is to upgrade and expand the existing Digital Voice and MediScribe Voice and Text Management Transcription System at the Eglin AFB Regional Hospital. The system is used to provide Voice capture, document creation, workflow management, document storage/control, reporting and tracking of workflow, document access and distribution in a medical environment. The scope of work will include delivery, assembly, installation, and upgrade. The scope of the work will include delivery, assembly, installation, and upgrade of current software and system configuration. The work will include installation of hardware and software to increase the functionality of the currently installed system. The system shall include five applicable software-user manuals. The government shall provide phone lines for the additional ports and Internet or other remote access for the remote users. A summary of the system hardware is as follows: 3 DVI Volari port cards, processor, back plane and motherboard upgrade. A summary of the software is as follows: Volari port card software and licenses, DVI server software upgrade, Windows 2000 server software, Pervasive 2000 SQL server software, (7) Mediscribe transcription user software, (7) Shortcut software, (7) Sylvans dictionary software. The system will be delivered on an FOB Destination basis, 30 days after contract award to Eglin AFB, Florida.
