- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego (FISC-SD) intends to solicit proposals for an OMB Circular A-76 Cost Comparison Study of FISC-SD Retail Supply Functions. Services include (1) Warehousing Operation; (2) Supply Operations; (3) Customer Support Operations; (4) Pack-up Kit Warehousing Support; (5) Material Handling Equipment Support; (6) Foreign Military Sales Logistics Support; and (7) Other Support Services. The solicitation number is N00244-03-R-0014 and it will be issued on or about 19 December 2002. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) Web Site http://www.neco.navy.mil It is the responsibility of interested parties to frequently monitor this web site for updates. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments. It is anticipated that the contract type will be a firm-fixed price with award fee provisions. The contract is anticipated to contain a 90-day phase-in period, a base year, and four one-year options. The proposed contract is subject to the Service Contract Act and services will be performed in the counties of San Diego and Riverside, CA. This acquisition will be conducted under The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 493190, Other Warehousing/Storage, which establishes a small business size standard of $18. This procurement will be conducted on an unrestricted basis, and all responsible sources may submit a proposal. The government will not accumulate or post an electronic mailing list for this requirement. Interested parties are invited to submit "Notices of subcontracting opportunities" in accordance with FAR 5.206 or obtain prospective offerors' information from other commercially available resources. Contractors must sign up with the Contractor Centralized Registration (CCR) prior to receiving a contract. This solicitation will not result in a contract if government performance is determined to be more advantageous in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 procedures.
