- Description
- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The General Services Administration, Special Services Division, is seeking sources that would be interested in providing preventive maintenance, high and low voltage switching, twenty-four hour coverage (365 days), repairs, outages, and service calls on Government owned Switchgear equipment located in all buildings in the National Capital Region. The maintenance shall be performed in accordance with GSA requirements as applicable (1). NFPA 70, National Electrical Code; (2). GSA PBS P-5850.1B Buildings Maintenance Management Appendix "J"; (3). IEEE, C2, National Electrical Safety Code; (4). All other local or national codes, regulations or standards applicable at the date of bid opening. The maintenance required under this contract shall be performed on an annual basis consisting of annual, semi-annual, quarterly and monthly inspections and tests. Any products supplied under this contract shall be ones bearing a U.L., or equivalent rating. The maintenance work required shall be under the directions of a licensed master electrician with a minimum of three years experience in the performance of preventive maintenance and repair of high voltage and low voltage switchgear systems. The contractor shall have knowledge in Asbestos Management and knowledge of PCB handling and removal per EPA regulations. The Contracting Officer may reject any prospective bidder who cannot furnish evidence of such qualifications. This announcement is not a formal solicitation and is not a request for proposal. Interested parties shall submit a corporate capability statement that documents the qualifications of their organization and personnel in the performance of preventive maintenance of high and low voltage switchgear systems and equipment of the type detailed under this contract. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be constructed as a commitment by the Government.
