Description
The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to award a contract for the following equipment: Vendor must visit and inspect the conference facility at NSF prior to submitting bid. It is imperative that the prospective vendor becomes familiar with the conference room and how equipment should be placed prior to submitting a bid. Call 703-292-4607 to make an appointment. Rolling multimedia cart, the cart is to be of quality wood construction to match existing conference room furniture. 50" or plasma screen w/circuitry or other means to prevent screen burn. Screen to be an NEC RT50X or equivalent as approved by NSF. SVHS VCR; Specific make and model to be approved by NSF. Dual, DVD player and Burner; Sony or equivalent. High quality components are to be used. Specific make and model to be approved by NSF. XGA document camera w/minimum 15 frames per second, zoom functions, XGA or better resolution, and includes a backup spare for each bulb. Document camera to be an ELMO HV-5000XG, Canon Hi Res RE 450-X or equivalent as approved by NSF. Extron system 7SC switching system w/audio level control, inputs for video and Hi-Res sources. All equipment to function with manual overrides. Computer interfaces w/multimedia cart equipment and two laptops. Control system. Wireless, controls for VCR, DVD, input selection, volume control, and system power. Include programming necessary (and backups) to operate system equipment. Include a wireless touch panel for the control of the VCR, DVD, and document camera, computers, video display, and audio. The control system is to use Ethernet control using IP protocol. The IP control capabilities are to include software that can be installed on an NSF computer. Audio speakers (may be built into wall or ceiling if not provided by the plasma monitor). Wireless mouse and keyboard combo to operate in conjunction w/an NSF supplied XP computer. Include all brackets, low voltage wiring, interfaces, and hardware needed for installation. NSF will provide 120-volt power and wall construction. Vendor will provide NSF w/electrical and cut out specifications for the credenza cabinet. One-year, parts and labor service agreement w/90 minute response time for problem resolution and/or repair during normal business hours, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, M-F. Training for (1) user, (2) administrators, and (3) programmers on the system. The proposal should include a minimum of four training sessions of up to four hours each on-site at NSF. Training is to include basic programming and setup of the control system. Programming codes used by the system will be provided by the vendor to NSF. Software needed by NSF for programming the control unit must be provided. Training of two NSF system administrators will be provided so that NSF can maintain in-house reprogramming capabilities. Custom instruction manuals on the use of the integrated system are to be supplied (in addition to the manuals supplied by the manufacturers). System is to be pretested at vendor?s facility for functionality prior to actual installation in NSF. Please note that you should include all labor, hardware, mounting kits, interface plates, switches, connections, and low voltage wire needed to interconnect all equipment, including the NSF supplied Windows XP computer, into a single uniform working system. This solicitation will be evaluated as a best value acquisition considering best price and quality. In the event of equivalent proposals, preference will be given to GSA Contract Schedule holders. A separate price must be provided for each line item. Vendors must provide all requested line items.
