Description

NA DESC: Item #1 - NSN: 1005-01-033-9410, Part Number 11826040, The item to procure is a Bolt, Breech. Requirements are 1,000 each, Bolt, Breech. Item #2 - NSN: 1005-01-157-3081, Part Number 11826080, the items to procure is a Receiver, Cartridge. Require ments are 650 each, Receiver, Cartridge. The proposed contract will be a 3-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with two option periods. The estimated guaranteed minimum quantities are: 1,000 Bolt, Breech, and 650 each, Receiver, Cartrid ge. Estimated issue date is 20 Dec 02. This action is an unfunded FY03 requirement. FOB is Destination. These items are used on the M240 Machine Gun. This solicitation is restricted to the three firms in the small arms industrial base: Colt?s Manufactur ing Company, FN Manufacturing, Inc. (FNMI), and General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products (GDATP). Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided v ia the internet. Before a TDP package can be provided, a non-disclosure and non-use agreement must be completed and emailed to mcgregors@ria.army.mil. A copy of the agreement will be included as an attachment to the solicitation. The nondisclosure and n on-use agreement must contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the non-disclosure and non-u se agreement has been executed. A License Agreement between FN Herstal and the US requires the items procured to be manufactured exclusively in the US and Canada. The successful offeror under this solicitation agrees to manufacture the items, being procu red under this contract, exclusively within the US and Canada. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mail ing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and ti me set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Note 26 applies.
