Description

NA QUESTIONS ON DISTRIBUTION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE PLANS ROOM AT PHONE (251) 690-2535 OR FAX (251) 694-4343. Specific technical questions related to this project may be answered by Mr. Don Greene at (251) 694-3730. Contracting Officer for this project will be Leo J. Hickman. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990. Bid documents are available on or about 21 December 2002. Estimated cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000 ,000. Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered. Rental of hydraulic cutter head pipeline dredge with 20-24 inch pump discharge, with operators, for dredging in principally the Tennesee-Tombigbee Waterway in AL an d MS, with option to assign to the Black Warrior-Tombigbee River System, the Alabama River System, or projects along the Gulf Coast of MS, AL or FL panhandle. Note No. 1: Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Registration instructions are available on the I nternet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil then click on contract bids. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firm's physical address, valid telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact for overnight delivery, if necessary. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. Note No 2. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily for the solicitation to be posted, and for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will b e issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. Note No 3. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed -paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. Note No. 4: All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including a mendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Note No. 5: Critical Path Method (Network Analysis System) is not required. Note No. 6: For this job, a small business is de fined as having average annual receipts of less than $17,000,000 for the past three years.
