- [The following is a revised synopsis. It includes an e-mail address that was inadvertently omitted when this synopsis was originally posted.] The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue solicitation N00024-03-R-4022 for procurement of advanced planning for and accomplishment of Planned Incremental Availabilities (PIAs) and Drydocking Planned Incremental Availabilities (DPIAs) for repair, modernization and upkeep of CVN 68 Class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers homeported in the Puget Sound, Washington area. Performance of this effort will be accomplished at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Naval Station Bremerton and Naval Station Everett. Offerors interested in obtaining a copy of the Request for Proposal (RFP) should do so by sending a request via electronic mail to Mr. Clayton Ahrens, NAVSEA 02441A. Mr. Ahrens? e-mail address is AhrensCH@navsea.navy.mil . Potential prime contractors are encouraged to submit letters of interest in order to be added to the list of potential bidders in the event any data not available electronically can be provided otherwise. The anticipated issue date for the RFP is 15 January 2003. The solicitation will be posted to the Navy Electronic Commerce On-Line (NECO) web site (http://www.neco.navy.mil) on or about 15 January 2003. The subject solicitation package can be located by its solicitation number and downloaded. The due date for receipt of proposals will be on or about 28 March 2003.
