- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Assurance (EA) (formally within the Office of Safeguards and Security Affairs) intends to conduct a pilot project for vulnerability assessments of critical energy infrastructures in the State of New Jersey. A sole source contract is anticipated to be awarded to Intellimet International, Incorporated. Intellimet has a patented web-based process that the Department believes will permit virtual assessment and identification of integrated systems? vulnerabilities to disruption especially stemming from interdependencies. This virtual assessment occurs in near simultaneity through the processing of a wide range of inputs from multiple locations and sources. The principal application of this capability will be in assessing critical integrated and interdependent private sector facilities and systems which make up the majority of the critical infrastructure. The estimated period of performance is for 120 days. The award of a fixed price contract is contemplated. There will be no formal Request for Proposal for this action. See Note(s) 22
