- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound, in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, has a requirement for EITHER the lease OR the purchase of the following (complete specs will be contained in the RFQ): 1) 1 each plural component paint system with x-treme lowers and 4 SST reservoirs; 2) 2 each steel grit blast systems with reclaim and vacuum systems; 3) 2 each dehumidifier systems that meet the guidelines of NACE Publication 6A192, 460V/3PH, 28 amps; 4) 1 each breathing air compressors with air cooled "after cooler," oil free, electric driven; 5) 2 each dust collectors, 12000 CFM(min) with 2 duct adapters, 1 dust drum cover, 2 duct inlet screens, 2 duct inlet covers; 6) 2 each portable positive displacement vacuum system, 100HP, skid mounted, max vacuum 27-inch high, with filters; 7) 2 each diesel compressor, oil-free, with after cooler used to provide compressed air to abrasive blast equipment; and 8) 2 each diesel generators, 300KW, skid or trailer mounted. The period of performance if the equipment is leased will be approximately 15 Jan 2003 thru 3 June 2003. The required delivery date if the equipment is purchased is anticipated to be 15 Jan 2003. FOB Destination, at Mayport Naval Air Station, Jacksonville FL. This acquisition will be solicited using the procedures of FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The acquisition will be solicited as 100% small business set-aside. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 13 Dec 2002, with quotes due 5 days after RFQ issuance. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link at www.neco.navy.mil. All firms wishing to submit an quote are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or equivalent is required), and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. Interested parties may utilize www.fedbizopps.gov and request an E-mail notification by clicking on the "FedBizOpps Vendor" tab then "Acquisition Notification Service" then "register to receive notification by solicitation number." By registering with this service, you should receive notification when the solicitation has been uploaded to the NECO website. NOTE: FISC PUGET SOUND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THIS NOTICE. OFFERORS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION FROM THE NECO WEBSITE. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package or amendments will be accepted. An email request to julie_a_thomas@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event that a firm experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the firm to access the posted documents. This office will not maintain a bidder's mailing list. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted RFQs and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by FISCPS. Electronic submission of quotes is not available at this time.
