- Description
- The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is an active partner in the E-Grants Presidential Priority Initiative, the Federal-wide effort to develop a uniform, streamlined and more automated grants application and management process. The project is considered a high priority for the Federal government in achieving goals under the Government Paperwork Reduction Act and the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program, in addition to E-Government goals. Our contributions and progress on this project have direct implications for the Department of Labor's Presidential Management Initiative scorecard evaluation. For the E-Grants initiative, the DOL is responsible for implementing a Department-wide solution that can work with grant applications submitted via the E-Grants web-portal and manage the evaluation, administration, award, and close-out of grants. DOL is currently in the process of reviewing vendors in the marketplace and requesting information from them so that we can determine if their products will meet the needs of the Department. Interested Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product vendors should contact Julie Lawrence via email: lawrence-julie@dol.gov to receive the list of desired features with detailed response instructions. Requests for response instructions must be made no later than December 30, 2002. The subject of the e-mail should state: E-Grants Request for Information. Vendors are required to submit their responses to the desired feature set as well as an explanation of their product's features and capabilities on a compact disk (CD) no later than close-of- business on January 9, 2003. Completed responses should be sent on CD with accompanying materials to: Julie Lawrence U.S.Department of Labor Office of Procurement Services 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, N5416 Washington, DC 20210
