Description
17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in far Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposal/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation number is DTCG40-03-Q-40224. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333923 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This is a firm fixed price requirement. This requirement is being solicited as a full and open competition. Description of requirements: 1.) Qty 1, Unit each, 15 Ton Top Running Double Girder Bridge Crane with 15 ton main and 5 ton aux. hoist on separate trolleys as per the following specifications. The above items are being solicited on a Brand Name (DEMAG) or Equal basis. All part numbers are manufacturer part numbers and should be referenced in all quotes. Pricing shall be required for all items as identified. The following are the salient characteristics for the above listed items: CRANE: Capacity: 15 tons; Power volts: 480/3/60; Wheel Max Load: 23,000 lbs max, CMAA Service Class: C, Span: 66 feet 5 inches; Control Volts: 115/1/60; Control: Remote Radio With Pendant Back-up; Weight Estimated: Not to exceed 30,000 lbs, HOIST- MAIN: Available Lift: 39 Feet; Lift Speed: 26/2.6 FPM; Horsepower: 29/5.7, TROLLEY: Capacity: 15 tons; Speed: 80/20 FPM; Horsepower: 2 @ 1.8; Wheel Diameter: 5 inches, HOIST- AUX: Available lift: 33 Feet; Lift Speed: 32/3.2 FPM; Horsepower: 11.5/2.4, TROLLY: Capacity: 5 tons; Wheel Diameter: 4.5 inches, BRIDGE: Capacity: 15 tons; Speed: 125/31 FPM; Horsepower: 2 @ 2.5; Wheelbase: 158 inches; Wheel Diameter: 10 inches, REQUIRED OPTION ITEMS: VFC on Bridge Motion, Trolley Motion, Main Hoist Motion, and Aux. Hoist Motion, Full Length Walkway and two (2) Service Platforms (each). Refurbished or off-lease units will not be accepted. 2.) Qty 1, Unit Job, INSTALLATION: Contractor shall provide labor and equipment to install the crane specified in Line Item No. 1, on the runway located in Bldg 78 to the north of the crane that is currently operations. This installation is to also include the removal of the currently Non-Operational Crane. THIS REMOVAL OF THE NON-OPERATIONAL CRANE MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. 3.) Qty 1, Unit Job, LOAD TESTING AND CERTIFICATION: Contractor shall provide labor and weights to perform load testing and certification of the newly installed crane specified in Line Item No. 1. The above characteristics are intended to be descriptive, but not restrictive. Unless clearly marked that the vendor is quoting on an equal the offered item shall be considered as the brand name product referenced in this announcement. If the vendor proposes to furnish and equal product, the brand name of the product to be furnished shall be inserted on the proposal. PLEASE PROVIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE DELIVERY SCHEDULE. Delivery shall be made to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Receiving Room, Building #24, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. The FOB point is Destination.
