Description

The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency, intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for DLT products listed below. This is a combined synopsis/request for quote for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only request for quote. Quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Request for Quote number MDA908-02-Q-4145 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-03. This requirement is for three line items; i.e., CLIN 0001 -60 ea DLT Cleaning Cartridge; CLIN 0002 - 180 ea Super DLT Tape 1 -110GB; CLIN 0003 - 400 ea DLT IV, TK88, DLT 4000/7000/8000. VENDORS MUST SUPPLY SUFFICIENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO DETERMINE THAT THE ITEM BEING OFFERED UNEQUIVOCALLY MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS STATED ABOVE. Vendors are cautioned to include all of the descriptive information required of this acquisition in their total price. Delivery of all items is required 30 days from date of award to be delivered FOB Destination to Logistics Applications Inc; Plaza 500, Suite 140; 6295 Edsall Rd.; Alexandria, VA 22312. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The provision FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Offers are required to complete and include a copy of the following provisions with the quote: FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications--Commercial Items, Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies, Addendum to FAR 52.212-4, Paragraph (o) warranty - add "additionally, the Government will accept the contractor's commercial warranty". The clause at 51.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items applies with the following applicable clauses for paragraph (b). FAR Parts 52.219-26, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.225-1, 52.225-13, 52.232-33, 52.232-34. In addition add the following addendum clause 52.999-4100 - Payment Address. Vendors that can provide the product described in CLINs 0001 thru 0003 above are requested to submit their quotes for consideration to the following email address: ida.batson@dia.mil no later than 2:00 p.m. on 20 Dec 02. Responses may also be sent via U.S. mail; private commercial courier; facsimile (202) 231-2831; electronically (Internet) to ida.batson@dia.mil. Telephone quotes will not be accepted. Vendors are hereby put on notice if their responses is submitted via facsimile or electronically (Internet) and received after 2:00 p.m. on 11 Dec 02, it is late. Documentation received after this time and date are subject to clause "Late Submissions, Modifications, and Withdrawal of Bids" (FAR 52.214-7). All hand delivered/common courier quotes are to be sealed and the outer envelope or wrapping addressed as stated above. Handcarried/common courier quotes must be delivered to the Virginia Contracting Activity; Attn: DAP-2/Ida Batson, Bldg. 6000, Bolling AFB, Washington, DC 20340-5100. All quotes must reference RFQ MDA908-03-Q-41414. Vendors MUST include an email/facsimile number if available, in their quote. Vendors must provide only the items described herein, no substitutions of components will be accepted.
