- GLOVES, INSERTS, CHEMICAL PROTECTION Cotton Knitted, NSN 8415-01-138-2494s will be made in accordance with Purchase Description PD-92-02, dated 24 August 1992. This solicitation will be issued as an IDTC, Firm Fixed Price Contract, with a minimum quantity of 300,000 pr and a maximum quantity of 600,000 pr Shipments will be to Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, CA and Defense Distribution Depot Albany, Albany GA. Twelve deliveries are required beginning 120 days after date of award and every thirty days thereafter. Only offers with FOB Destinations will be considered. All materials are to be contractor furnished. Offer must submit five pair of Product Demonstration Models for small, medium and large glove inserts to DSCP for visual and dimensional examination. This is a set-aside for Small Business Concerns only. The duration of this contract is comprised of the base year and three Option Year. Acceleration of delivery is allowed at no cost to the Government. Anticipated issuance date of the Solicitation is after 26 December 2002. Best Value Source Selection procedures will be utilized, Evaluation Factors are as follows: 1. Product Demonstration Model, 2. Experience/Past Performance, 3. Industrial Mobilization/Surge and 4. DLA Mentoring Business Agreements as part of their factor. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes,including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment, impose restrictions on the DoDs acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items,as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012, and specialty metals, as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014, must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
