Description

NA On Behalf of the Department of Defense, American Forces Information Service (AFIS) the Defense Contracting Command-Washington (DCC-W) in accordance with FAR Part 6.3, intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order using simplified acquisition pro cedures to The Associated Press (AP) for software maintenance. The software maintenance support needed is for the following services: AP Preserver software version 3.6.1, and AIX Operating System support as it pertains to the AP Preserver Software. The As sociated Press Software is currently in us by AFIS on a 24 hours, 7 days a week schedule. AP Preserver Software 3.6.1 are used to maintain classified and unclassified images for the Department of Defense. The software houses images and allows access and d istribution to many forms of media. There is NO solicitation document. This notice is not a request for quotes. Interested firms may send a capabilities statement to: Defense Contracting Command-Washington, Attention: Dora L. Gainey, 5200 Army Pentagon, R oom 1C256, Washington, DC, 20310-5200. This office must receive capability statements within 15 days from publication of this notice.
