- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard, in accordance with FAR 19.1305, is setting aside this acquisition for HUBZone concerns only. Provide all labor, material, equipment and services necessary to perform drydock repairs including, but not limited to the following Base Items: Remove, inspect, and reinstall propulsion shafts, check alignment of propeller shafts, remove, inspect, and reinstall propellers, clean and test grid coolers, remove, inspect, and reinstall rudder assemblies, preserve barge spuds and spud wells, preserve barge buoy deck, renew draft figures barge, renew draft figures tender, renew cathodic protection system, provide temporary messing and berthing, provide temporary logistics, routine drydocking, renew tender hull plating and structural stiffener, clean and inspect diesel fuel and waste oil tanks, modify barge towing knees, clean and lengthen exhaust stacks, installation of CRP-V850 depth sounder system, overhaul and renew valves, install new fuel oil piping, protect weatherford CG300 hydraulic aton crane, inspect various deck fittings, renew handrails and stanchions on main deck, preserve shaft alley bilge space, preserve trim tank, ultrasonic testing, Options include, but are not limited to the following items: Welding repairs, renew water-lubricated shaft bearings, perform minor repairs and reconditioning of propeller, renew rudder upper bearing assembly, renew rudder lower bearing assembly, renew spud well liner, condition B and C barge(Entire U/W Body), condition B and C tender (Entire U/W Body), provide additional temporary messing and berthing, provide additional temporary logistics, composite labor rate, and laydays. This vessel is a 75-foot A class construction tender and 68 foot barge. Vessels homeport is located at USCG Group Charleston, 196 Tradd Street, Charleston, SC 29401-1899. All work will be performed at contractors facility. The performance period will be 42 calendar days with a start date on or about 14 April 2003. The estimated value of this procurement is between $100,000 and $300,000. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. NAICS Code is 336611 and the SIC is 3731. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. Drawings are available on CD-ROM, free of charge to contractors. However, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order may be made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for printed copies of the drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, Virginia. All HubZone Certified Contractors, which fall within the geographical restricted area, no open water transits, from Tampa, FL to Philadelphia, PA via Intra Coastal Waterways are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements.
