Description
The USAF will issue an RFP for the manufacture of the Convergent Liner Assembly. Solicitation will be issued electronically through the FEDBIZOPS website. NSN: 2840-01-308-4467NZ; P/N: 4070107, Predominant material: Columbium Alloy; Size/Dimensions: 15 inches long X 4.5 inches wide X 0.5 inches thick. Form/Fix/Function:This item serves as a heat shield for the convergent nozzle segment of the augmentor applicable to the F100/200/220 engine of the F15/16 fighter aircraft. Delivery: Tinker AFB, OK or as specified in individual order. Anticipated solicitation issue date: 2 JAN 2003. Anticipated award date: 28 FEB 2003. A firm-fixed price, Requirements contract with a one-year basic and 4 one-year option ordering periods will be issued. Estimated quantities: Basic Year: 232 each, Option 1: 271 each, Option 2: 271 each, Option 3: 271 each, Option 4: 271 each. Quantity required per month is 150 each, 30 days after contract award. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved and qualified IAW with the Qualification Requirements. Information regarding how to become an approved source will be available in the solicitation. Approved sources are: Pratt and Whitney, Hartford, CT & Dynamic Gunver Technologies, Manchester, CT. Note A, Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Note D, the requirements of FAR 9.202(a) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or Potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor Concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
