Description

The intent of this solicitation is to obtain all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to provide repair services to the power plant boiler/steam systems, and associated equipment and facilities, at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT. This solicitation will be issued as an indefinite quantity contract for a base period and two 12 month option periods to be exercised if in the best interests of the Government without further notice. The solicitation will include FAR Clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services. The NAICS is 23899 Special Trade Contractors, NEC with a small business size standard of $12 million. The estimated cost range is between $500,000 to $1,000,000 for the three years. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be available at no cost on the NAVFAC Electronic Solicitation Internet Website at: www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. The site may be viewed without an account, however, the solicitation will not be available for download unless an account is established. Recording companies and Blueprint companies are also required to register. E-mail notification will be provided when the solicitation package and solicitation amendments are available for download. The "Issue Date" and "Bid/Due Date" stated in this notice are estimated dates. The official Planholders List will be maintained on-line and can be printed from the web site. Questions concerning this solicitation MUST be submitted in writing and may be faxed to (860) 694-4565, Attn: Mabel Soo Hoo. Per the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in the CCR may render an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing web site www.ccr2000.com or by referring to DFARS Subpart 204.73. Offerors should submit verification of their firm's registration in the CCR Database with their bid.
