Description
The U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) has a requirement for Regional Studies Instructors and Administrative Research Assistant Support. The Contractor is to provide instruction to teach regional studies in Asian, European, African and Latin American during the period 1 July 2002 through 30 June 2003 with two (2) One year option periods. The minimum qualification for instruction support is a MA/MS Degree with a Ph.D highly desired in their respective area of expertise (i.e. Asian, Latin American, African, and European Studies), International Relations concentrating on their respective region (i.e., Asian, Latin American, African and European), or an equivalent M.A./M.S. Degree in Political Science, History, or European issues. In Country experience of not less than one year is required. Additional interaction with government or military agencies, indigenous peoples, and abroad exposure to regional issues, which influence U.S. relations with Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe, is also highly desired. The Contractor shall also provide an Administrative/Research Assistant who shall have a BA/BS degree with a concentration in International Relations, Government, Political Science, Area Studies or similar discipline is preferred. The Administrative/Research Assistant shall be familiar with standard office equipment, i.e., IBM compatible computer workstations, Facsimile machines, photocopiers, etc. Experience with Microsoft Office software?s desirable. The Administrative/Research Assistant shall be familiar with U.S. Military Organizations and rank structure. The Administrative/Research Assistant shall perform tasks to support the instruction of the regional seminar instructors and the manager of the Regional Studies Course. The NAICS for this acquisition is 611699. This acquisition is unrestricted except for the requirement to be fully accredited at the under graduate level.
