Description
Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) Temple, Texas. Thi= s is a solicitation for Competitive Proposals for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. Solicitation number RFP 674-53-03 is being issued as a Request For Proposal. This announcement constitutes a synopsis only. The hard copy of the RFP will be available for issue on December 30, 2002. This procurement is unrestricted. A requirement exists for providing the United State Navy with Fire Fighting Training Systems (FFTS) and Damage Control Trainers (DCT) for high-risk Fire Fighting (FF) and Damage Control (DC) training. These systems shall provide the capability to train Navy and other personnel in the courses identified in the solicitation at different US Navy locations as indicated on each Delivery Order. This effort will be accomplished within the framework of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Contract. The Statement of Work shall set forth the tasks for the fabrication, integration, delivery, installation and testing of the Homeport Training (HPT) FFTS/DCT=92s, which comply with all site specific environmental and safety regulations, and provide realistic training. The contractor shall provide commercially available systems and supporting commercial operation and maintenance documentation that shall meet Navy training requirements for damage control training, general shipboard FF training, shipboard FF team training, advanced shipboard FF training, and Helicopter flight deck FF training at specified locations. The FF/DC training systems shall be proven integrated, commercially available Fire Fighting training technology of modular (CONEX Box / Container type) structures. Potential sites for the FFTS include: LaMaddalena, Italy; Sigonella, Italy; Pearl Harbor, HI; Everett, WA; Sasebo, Japan, Guam; and Bahrain. Configuration of each unit shall be described in the Statement of Work. Award of the contract and any subsequent Task Order(s) shall be subject to the availability of funds. All responsible offerors are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation. Written, facsimile or e-mail requests for a copy of the solicitation will be accepted. Telephone calls requesting a copy of the solicitation will not be accepted. All proposals must be received no later than January 29, 2003, 1:00 p.m. Central Standard Time at the address indicated on the solicitation. PROPOSALS SENT VIA FACSIMILE SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The solicitation number shall be listed on the outside cover of the sealed offer for proper identification. NAICS Code is 421850 and size is 100 employees.
