Description

This requirement is being procured in accordance with Part 15 and 36 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (FAR). The National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Proposal for rehabilitation of visitor center consisting of approx. 3200SF.on the first floor consist of existing visitor center, three exhibit galleries, information/reception area, cooperating association store and administrative office. The 2800 SF basement to provide employee offices, library/conference room, cooperating association storage and office, restroom, storage and small kitchen/break room. Construct new stairwell and add lift to meet ADA and life safety codes, upgrade utility and life safety system in both facilities, including electrical upgrade, modify HVAC, add fire, security alarm, suppression system, network telephone and computer lines, public restrooms, janitor supply closet, and add a family restroom. Location Stones River National Battlefield Park, Murfreesboro, TN. The work consist of the contractor providing all materials, labor, parts, tools, equipment, supervision and all other incidentals as necessary for general construction of the facility. The building shall be constructed in strict accordance with specifications and drawings. The NAICS Code is 23332. The size standard is $17.0 Million. The magnitude of the project is $1-2 million. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. This solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. All offerors must have a DUNS number in order to download the solicitation. Please contact Dun and Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505 to receive a DUNS number. HARD COPIS OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The solicitation will be available on or about January 13, 2003. A Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held on site, on or about January 23, 2003 the time, actual date and location will be in the solicitation. This is a 100 percent Small Business Set-aside. (Numbered Note 1).
