Description
This requirement is subject to the availability of FY 03 Funding. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, mobilization, and demobilization for the construction of a vessel mooring, pier repairs, site electrical improvements and facility alterations at the US Coast Guard Tongue Point Facility, Astoria, Oregon. Anticipated construction disciplines include pile driving, steel fabrication, heavy timber, electrical, plumbing and carpentry. The mooring consists of five dolphins constructed from steel piles and floating foam filled fenders adjacent to the existing pier deck. Site electrical improvements include new 12.5kV service to the site, new transformer and switchgear at base substation and a new shore-tie for incoming vessels. Two existing buildings will require approximately 2,500 SF of alterations that include demolishing existing partitions, constructing new partitions, finishes and relocating plumbing fixtures. All in-water work is restricted to 1 November 2002 through 28 February 2003. --Estimated price range is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. -- Attention: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
