Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command is considering competition for award of an Electro-Optical Sensor System (EOSS) as an integrated asset of the MK 34 MOD 4 Gun Weapon System (GWS) for the CG-47 AEGIS Cruiser Conversion Program (CCP). The planned contract award date is November 2003 for a base quantity of four (4) EOSS with priced options for four (4) EOSS in FY 05, six (6) EOSS in FY 06, and six (6) EOSS in FY 07. The first delivery of two (2) functionally representative EOSS is required in March 2005 to support GWS Integration Testing. The first dockside delivery date of a fully qualified EOSS ship set is October 2005. The total future quantity beyond this contract to complete the U.S. Navy?s CCP is anticipated to be an additional twenty-eight (28) EOSS at a rate of four (4) to six (6) per year (FY 08 ? FY 12). This announcement will serve as a market survey to identify whether any sources with a viable Non-Developmental Item (NDI) EOSS are interested in this acquisition. For further details and a copy of WS 33609, interested parties for this acquisition shall provide written notification to the contact point for this announcement.
