Description
NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the International Space Station Mission Integration Contract (MIC). This effort includes products and/or services that support ISS Program functions related to mission planning, mission integration, mission operations, International Partner integration, and Russian language and logistics services. The scope of effort issued in the ?Draft Statement of Work? has not changed. The provisions and clauses in the RFP are those in effect through FAC 01-10. The contract type chosen for this acquisition will be Cost-Plus-Award-Fee. The Period of Performance for the effort will be four years and nine months plus two 1-year priced options. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541710 and 1,500 employees. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of the DRAFT RFP is February 15, 2003. The anticipated release date of the FINAL RFP will be May 2, 2003 with an anticipated proposal due date of June 13, 2003. Any potential contractors interested in teaming arrangements may review the list of sources obtained in response to the Request For Information Synopsis for the MIC effort, issued October 11, 2002. The list of responses can be found on the ISS Contract Strategy homepage at url: http://jsc-web-pub.jsc.nasa.gov/bd01/excellent-strategy/ . All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
