- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking sources capable of providing the Agency with a faxing software package. The faxing software will be integrated as part of the Agency?s new Enterprise Document Imaging and Management Architecture (EDIMA). The scanning software will provide a vital path to import documents into EDIMA. The Agency is seeking sources that produce FAXing software packages that must meet the following requirements: General Software Requirements - Windows compatible - Can be scaled to receive up to 1.1 million documents a day across 30 to 50 different locations - Supports connections to Analog and Digital phone lines - Can be implemented on a LAN or WAN - Has ability to receive and send documents to network drives using UNC - Can transmit and receive multiple faxes concurrently - Supports batch faxing by phone number - Supports dynamic queuing by phone number - Supports queuing by time - Utilizes v.17 and V.34 protocols - Recognizes Modified Huffman (MH), Modified Read (MR), Modified Modified Read (MMR) compression formats - Provides central remote management and monitoring of functions such as starting, stopping, real-time status, and trouble shooting - Provides status and reports of faxes received, queued for sending, and documents sent - Supports a minimum 200 X 200 dpi resolution - Can control which numbers can be dialed for transmitting and receiving. Email Capture - Supports routing to and from e-mail - Converts on real-time PDF, TXT, PCL, MSOffice Lotus 1-2-3,Adobe, XML, WordPerfect, Freelance, HTML, VISIO documents to TIFF whether transmitting or receiving - Adheres to FTP, HTTP, and Secure MIME transmission standards. Document Export - Produces Multi page TIFF Group 4 (G4) files with XML headers for document definition and control - Supports the use of APIs for customization and interfacing. These sources must be providers of solution integration or product development. Interested vendors must be able to provide verifiable proof by submitting information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to meet the Agency?s requirement. Vendors responding should indicate whether their services are available on the GSA schedule. Pricing data may be submitted. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of the data received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in SSA?s assessment of capable sources. Responses to this notice should be submitted in duplicate with 15 days of this publication and should refer to ?AeDIB EDIMA Faxing?. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
