- Description
- Period of Performance 02/01/03 to 04/01/03 (to complete 5 months worth of work). Statement of work: "Development, updating and documentation of atomic and molecular databases on the WEB" Task 1. Work on the development and update of the X-Ray Form Factor, Attenuation and Scattering Tables database. Duration : 1 month. The deliverables for this task are: (1) Perl programs which fully implement "compound" and "density" features and needed interpolation routine. (2) Document detailing modifications that were made to existing programs. (3) Functioning electronic database for the Physics Laboratory WEB site. Task 2. Make effort to document existing fundamental constants Physics Laboratory Web pages with the purpose of learning and finding ways to update the fundamental constants database. It may require writing new scripts for retrieving new constants and references from the "fundadj" directory located on the sed computer. Duration: 2 months. The deliverables for this task are: (1) Report containing documentation of the present fundamental constants Physics Laboratory Web site, (2) Demonstrate the process of updating the database. Duration: 2 months. Task 3. Complete the development and update of a database of potential energy curves for the ground an excited states of Group II dimer molecules. This requires searching for and compilation of a list of references, tables of potentials in html and ascii formats. Duration: 2 months. The deliverables for this task are: (1) A report containing the tabulated data for available molecular potentials, (2) A list of references compiled, (3) An electronic data base for the Physics Laboratory WEB site, that is ready for publication.
