Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to purchase Rain Gauges, plastic, with mounting bracket, 4-inch, NSN: 6660-00-920-3722, ASN: D045, and Rain Gauges, non-recording, precipitation, 8-inch, comprised of funnel cap, NSN: 6660-00-558-0164, ASN: D040. A separate contract may be awarded for each type of gauge. The government intends to award a requirements type contract for a base period of twelve months and four, twelve-month option years. The anticipated quantity for the 4-inch gauge is approximately 3,000 per year. The anticipated quantity for the 8-inch gauge is approximately 300 per year. The gauges shall be delivered FOB destination to the National Weather Service, National Logistics Support Center in Kansas City, MO 64131. A first article sample and production lot inspection at destination is required. All parties interested in receiving a bid package must submit a request in writing to the attention of Jackie Shewmaker at the address stated herein. Facsimile requests will be accepted at (816) 426-7530 within fifteen (15) days of this publication. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Agency.
