Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement for a commercially available Forensic Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). A single contractor shall be responsible for all of the necessary equipment (hardware and software), to include any customization, integration with legacy systems. Additionally, training, maintenance and personnel to operate the delivered system via a on-site support desk 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including all holidays. The FBI's LIMS shall support all responsibilities associated with the operation of a large, modern, and highly productive forensic laboratory by providing a repository for laboratory data and by providing tools for accessing, processing, analyzing, and reporting data. LIMS shall be operational by May 2003. The contract that results from this solicitation shall be one base year with four, one year options.
