- The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD) intends to purchase on a sole source basis from Praxair Distribution Inc., 8124 Norris Lane, Baltimore, MD 21222 the following items: Praxair Gas Cabinet, one each; Praxair UP2 purge panel, one each; and Enveronix Mixer, Model 4040 base unit, one each. The Gas Cabinet and Gas Mixer System must handle the following gasses: 1) Hydrogen Fluoride; 2) Tungsten Hexafluoride; 3) Hydrogen Chloride: 4) Hydrogen Bromide; 5) Silicon Tetrafluoride; 6) Boron Trifluoride; 7) Methyl Bromide. There is no other known source that has a system with the specific requirements depicted below that can handle the breadth of gasses that must be tested. The specific equipment requirements necessary for the Gas Cabinet are a two-cylinder enclosure and it must have two gas flow controllers with the following features: Controllers must be sof tware driven, password protected, brownout protected, have user-configured set points; gas panel flow schematics, valve actuation verification, manual override where the lighted valve icons on the flow schematic become push-button switches to operate valves. In addition the gas cabinet must have two dedicated flow process panels and it must have two connections points, one that is able to connect to CGA 660 fittings and the other connecting to CGA 330 fittings. In addition, the gas cabinet piping, gaskets, seals, and o-rings must be compatible with the gasses listed above. The purge panel features must purge bleed through venturi valve due to corrosive gas application and should have positive flow of purge gas out of pigtails while changing cylinders to prevent contamination. The gas mixer must have the following features: one balance gas mass flow controller, one componen t gas mass flow controller, 316L Electropolished Stainless Steel tubing throughout, six (6) component gas inlet ports, one (1) dilution port, solenoid valve operation; all necessary system software and portable configuration. Award is to be made under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures on an all or none basis. The closing date is 3 January 2003. Anticipated Award Date is 8 January 2003. These items shall be shipped FOB Destination to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5100.
