- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure two (2) each Liquid Fuel Retrofit Kits, Woodward Industrial P/N 8957-210, and two (2) each MPU Assembly Kits, Woodward Industrial P/N 8957-209, to install on two Main Gas Turbine Engines currently being overhauled at Wood Group Pratt & Whitney. Woodward Industrial is the Original Equipment Manufacturer for these kits; therefore it is the Government?s belief that only Woodward Industrial and/or their authorized distributors can provide these parts. All technical and engineering data required to successfully upgrade this system is proprietary information to Woodward Industrial; therefore this nonavailability of technical data precludes the U.S. Coast Guard from obtaining competition. ALTERNATE PART NUMBERS SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS ACQUISITION. It is intended to award a sole-source purchase order to Woodward Industrial no later than 3 January 2003. The Request for Quotation Package, Number DTCG40-03-Q-50025, shall be available for download from FedBizOpps at www.eps.gov on or about 20 December 2002. Hard copies of this solicitation shall not be issued from this office. Delivery shall be 90 calendar days after the date of award. The kits shall be shipped to Wood Group Pratt & Whitney, LLC, 523 Halfway House Road, Windsor Locks, CT 06096. Other responsible sources that can supply the part numbers being requested may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency. See Numbered Note 22. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and TAM 1206.302. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP), offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
