- Dover Air Force Base, Delaware is looking for sources to provide the following: On-site requirement to manage, inspect, align, remove and install public address systems throughout Dover Air Force Base. Works in conjunction with Wing Public Affairs, Protocol and Wing Action Officers to create custom public address setups for local and visiting dignitaries. Installs, operates, maintains and removes public address systems for Wing Official functions and events and orders tools and equipment to meet mission requirements. Provides expertise to organizations throughout the Wing on public address requirements, and provides technical solutions. This will also include a skill set in visual presentation systems (i.e. projection systems, screen set up, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations). Contractor shall provide self-help equipment for checkout to qualified users. Contractor shall provide operation of the Dover AFB automated Giant Voice broadcast system and update/change audio broadcast selections as required by the Quality Assurance Personnel. The Contractor shall troubleshoot and repair Giant Voice controller, amplifier and speaker systems as outages occur. Period of performance to be on or about 1 February 2003 to 30 September 2003. Estimated frequency of requirement to set up public address systems for events: 10 to 12 events per week. Please indicate if your business is considered small or large based on NAICS 238210. This acquisition is being considered for a small business set-aside. If your firm is classified as a small business and intends to propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than January 6, 2003 (1) submit certification of small disadvantaged, hub-zone, etc. (2) capability statement of your firm and (3) a positive statement that your firm intends to propose on this acquisition. Based upon this response, the Contracting Officer will make a determination if there is a reasonable expectation of adequate competition for award. Information can be faxed to Therese Patterson at (302)677-2309. The solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps). The solicitation package and any amendments will only be available electronically. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Once the solicitation is posted, it is imperative that interested parties review the web site for updates/amendments. The closing date for submission of offers will be contained within the solicitation package. When the solicitation is issued on the FedBizOpps website, all interested parties must respond to that solicitation separately from the response to this sources sought notice. All prospective offerors are required to be CCR registered at www.ccr.gov.
