Description

NA The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command has a requirement for a twelve-month sole source risk reduction contract for FY 03 for the Precision Attack Missile and Container/Launch Unit (C/LU) for the Non-Line of Sight-Launch System (NLOS-LS)/Netfires. The risk reduction contract will include effort to mature previously existing technology and prepare for the System Development and Demonstration (SDD) phase, in order to reduce the SDD schedule time. The contractor, Raytheon Company, Tucson, AZ, will levera ge design from existing Government contracts and test data for the dual-mode warhead and the fuse. The contractor will also perform trade studies for electronics design, propulsion, battery development, missile design, and perform system-engineering tasks and trade studies. The contractor will conduct modifications to integrated flight simulations for warhead and propulsion and define requirements for reliability, maintainability, and depot level testing. The contractor will prepare preliminary documenta tion and perform program management functions. The contractor will also be required to attend Integrated Product Team meetings on Systems Engineering, Lethality, Propulsion, Simulation, and Seeker.
