Description
NA The Multiple Award Contract (MATOC) Project will consist of three 8(a) construction contractors. The contracts will be for quick and straightforward projects, including some small but complex construction. This type of procurement is expected to help min imize design effort and related overhead expenditures and handle compressed delivery schedules. Task orders will include a variety of trades such as carpentry, road repair, roofing, excavation, interior/exterior elements, steam welding, asbestos and lead paint abatement incidental to construction and/or project design. The MATOC will not be used for AE services; however, incidental AE services maybe needed for some projects. This solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS), and will be av ailable to download on or about 15 January 2003 at: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct. NO CD's OR HARD COPIES WILL BE AVAILABLE. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to the Notice. The website is occasionally inac cessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror?s inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. When you register, please do so as a Prime, Sub or Plans Room. Individual task orders will range from $100,000 to $3,000,000 with a not to exceed amount of $6,000,000 per period (NTE 365 days) shared among the three contractors. Total not to exceed amount shared among each contract for base year and all option period s is $30,000,000. The NAICS code for this project is 236220. Competition for this procurement is limited to eligible 8(a) firms located in Washington State and 8(a) participants in good standing, serviced by a SBA office outside of Washington State, but having a Bona fide branch office in Washington State?. A Bona fide branch office is a place of business for purposes of 8(a) construction procurements located where an 8(a) Participant regularly maintains an office which employs at least one full-time ind ividual within the appropriate geographical boundary. The term does not include construction trailers or other temporary construction sites. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenu e, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $28.5 million. This will be a Request for Proposal, and a firm fixed price contract will be negotiated as a result of this procurement.
