Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. NASA/JSC is seeking capabilities information from small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, HUBZone, and vet-owned for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for this requirement. NASA/JSC plans to issue a RFO/Statement of Work for Title II Architect Engineer (A-E) Post Design Inspection Services at the Johnson Space Center. The NAICS Code for the proposed acquisition is 54133 and the small business size standard is $4 Mil. The work will involve Title II A&E Post Design Inspection Services on a wide variety of construction projects from new construction to renovation, etc. Size of individual projects could range from $2500 to $2 Million per year. This contract is for specialized architect-engineer services for the performance of: I. Oversight, Inspection, and Field Support ? Construction, Operations, and Maintenance; II. Construction Management Services; III. Budget and Project Construction Estimating, Constructability. & other Pre Project Planning Services; IV. Total Building Commissioning Services; V. Sustaining Engineering and LEED Services; VII. Office Engineering/Special Engineering Services in support of multi-discipline Construction of Facilities projects. All services are located within the confines of the Johnson Space Center, Sonny Carter Training Facility, and Ellington Field. RESPONSES DUE Interested parties shall submit the following information via fax, email, or letter on company letterhead: 1) Company Name, address, point of contact, phone number, and email; 2) Type of small business (small, SDB, women-owned, etc); 3) Statement of capability per requirements identified in this synopsis not to exceed 5 pages. Responses are due no later than 4:00 p.m. CST on January 08, 2003. Mailing address is: NASA/Johnson Space Center, Attn: Bob Derr Mail Code: BJ3, 2101 Nasa Road 1, Houston, Texas 77058. Capability statement should identify past projects with emphasis for work performed on a Federal installation and include references as applicable. Address the following: 1) Specialized experience in construction management, estimating, building commissioning, and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)Services; 2) Capacity to provide competent individuals for differing disciplines (electrical, civil, mechanical, etc) for as many as forty, multimillion dollar construction projects in various stages; 3) Knowledge of government construction regulations and OSHA safety standards.
