- Description
- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) intends to issue a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain the necessary qualified personnel, materials, facilities, equipment and services to perform the inspection, compliance testing and reporting services to determine conformance with the following Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 208, 212, 219 and 301. Offerors must have the necessary testing facilities and equipment to conduct the testing requirements as specified by the Solicitation and FMVSS 208, 212, 219 and 301. Contractor must have facilities and personnel to perform both FMVSS 208 sled test and barrier test at time of proposal submission. The Government may require a demonstration test at offeror's expense prior to contract award using the test facility, materials, personnel and equipment that the offeror proposes to use in performance of this contract. Manufacturers of vehicles and/or components to be tested are not eligible for award of this procurement. The Government contemplates awarding one or more Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Quantity task order type contract(s) for a base period of two years and three one year options. NAICS Code for this contract is 541330. Electronic copies of the RFP and any other documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site or URL for the FedBizOpps page is www.fedbizOpps.gov or the GSA Electronic Posting Service (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov. It is the Offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet sites for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential Offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Requests for paper copies of the RFP will not be accepted. Estimated date for release of solicitation is on or about January 31, 2003.
