Description
Furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to REPLACE WINDOWS IN DUPLEX BUILDING, UNIT NOS. 103 & 105, at Point Wilson Lighthouse Site. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: A. Remove and dispose of all existing exterior windows of building. The removal shall include sash and frame. Remove and reinstall casing, stools and necessary trim to facilitate the installation of the new replacement windows. Completely remove and replace existing sills. B. Supply and install new double hung wood replacement windows in all window openings. The new windows shall closely match the original wood windows in this building for historic preservation. Provide necessary carpentry to make the windows a complete and finished assembly. Include operating hardware recommended by the window manufacturer. C. Supply and install Low-E laminated glass in all windows unless noted otherwise. D. Supply and install insect screens for all windows. E. Paint existing window casings and trim on both interior and exterior. F. Seal the perimeter, exterior and interior of each new window frame. G. Wash window glass after installation. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance period is 165 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The applicable NAICS code is 238350. Small Business size standard is $12.0 million. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered. The solicitation can be downloaded from (http://www.eps.gov/) on approximately 13 Jan 2003. If it does not appear on that date, please check back daily. Due dates for quotes will be 12 Feb 2003. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000.00 with interest at the prime rate.
