Description

The Cooperative Agreements and Technology Indicators (CATI) Databank is a comprehensive database on international strategic technology alliances. These data and analyses contribute to the congressionally-mandated publication Science and Engineering Indicators. Data for 2001 and 2002 will be used to revise and update the analysis in the chapter, "U.S. and International Research and Development: Funds and Alliances." The Contractor shall provide electronic files containing updated and new time series data for the years 1990-2002 on research and technology alliances by ownership, location, technology, organizational detail (equity vs. non-equity), for the U.S., Europe, Japan, and selected non-Triad countries. All deliverables are due January 31, 2003. The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to procure on a sole-source basis from John Hagedoorn, University of Maastricht, The Netherlands. This announcement is issued under the authority of FAR 6.302 (Circumstances permitting other than full and open competition) and is for informational purposes only. Interested parties may submit a statement of their capabilities to perform this requirement. See Note 22, substitute 5 days for 45 days.
