Description

The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from the following contractors for the renovation of approximately 22,000 square feet of office space on the first and second floors of the M. L. Sellers P&DC in San Diego, CA: Berry Contractors, Inc., 1921 C West 11th St., Upland CA 91786-3599; Stevens Construction, Inc., 530 West Avenue L, Lancaster CA 93534-7199; and Stilwell Construction Inc., P. O. Box 55106, Riverside CA 92517-0106. The work includes demolition, metal stud wall framing, gypsum board installation, painting, electrical, mechanical, communication wiring, doors and frames, hardware, carpet, acoustical lay-in tile, lighting, etc. The work is to be completed in 240 days after notice to proceed. Estimated range is $900,000-$985,000. This is an owned facility. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract will be 11%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the authority of the U. S. Postal Service Purchasing Manual, Issue 1 dated 1/31/97.
