Description

The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, intends to offer Timber Sales on the Eglin AFB Reservation. Work will consist of harvesting longleaf, slash, and loblolly pine. There are 3 harvest units combined in 1 contract line item number (CLIN) consisting of approximately 261 acres and containing 5,100 tons of pine timber. Harvest units are made up of thinning selectively marked natural longleaf pine stands. There are 22 small clear cuts (23 acres total) within the 3 harvest units, where all trees have been marked. Harvest units are not in "closed areas." This is notification to interested parties. The solicitation number for this announcement is F08651-03-B-0002. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this sale is 113310. The size standard for the NAICS code is 500 employees.
