- NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers European District is seeking expressions of interest from firms who are interested in proposing on the renovation of 36 senior enlisted family quarters, and 36 company grade officers family quarters in multi-story stairwell apartment buildings in and around Wiesbaden, Germany. There are also 2 duplex buildings for senior officers. These buildings will be upgraded to current standards including neighborhood amenities and supporting infrastructure. The project reconfigures 24 units in two of the buildings into 18 three-bedroom units meeting space requirements standards. Separate baths and private laundries will be added to all 36 three-bedroom units. Second baths will be added to the 4 four-bedroom duplexes. Other work in cludes: demolition, hazardous/toxic materials removal, re-arrangement of interior building components, replacement of windows, doors, floors, finishes, ceiling systems/finishes, interior wall finishes, built-in cabinetry/furniture, built-in equipment/fixtu res, installation of new mechanical, plumbing, fire protection/sprinkler, electrical, fire alarms, telecommunications, building systems, exterior work involving roadways, parking, sidewalks, and landscaping. The performance period will be: 365 days. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This range does not reflect the proximity of the actual estimated cost. The plans and specifications for this solicitation will be on CD-ROM. The plans will be provided free of charge and should not be returned. Paper, hard copies, of the plans and specifications will not be provided. It is the offeror's responsibility to e nsure they have received any subsequent amendments, if any. Prospective offerors must be able to obtain a Bank Letter of Assurance in order to be considered for award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal and will be considered for award. Offer ors shall determine whether performance requires registration with German authorities or authorization to do business in Germany and, if so, shall comply with all requirements. A firm's physical address for Federal Express delivery, telephone number, facsimile number, email address and a English speaking point of contact should be provided to facilitate mailing of the CD-ROM solicitation to interested firms. Requests that do not have complete information will not be honored. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information provided.
