- Description
- NASA/KSC plans to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) that conforms to the Compressed Gas Association specification CGA G-10.1 "Commodity Specification for Nitrogen" (5th Edition), Type II, Grade L. The anticipated release date of IFB 10-030010 is on or about January 8, 2003, with bids being due on or about February 6, 2003. The contract performance period will be for five years including all options with a beginning date of March 1, 2003. Best estimated quantities will be provided in the solicitation materials. The resultant contract will be a fixed-price, requirements type contract with delivery orders placed for specific requirements at Ames Research Center (ARC), Moffett Field, California. The provisions and clauses in the IFB are those in effect through FAC 2001-10. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 325120 and 1,000 employees respectively. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. All qualified responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents shall be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective bidders shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the bidder's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
