Description
The purpose of this modification is to answer the following questions and to extend the closing date for Solicitation N00600-03-Q-0618: Q1) Is there a relocation program available from the Navy for the selected person for this position or are these costs to be figured in the total proposal? If so, what are the particulars of this relocation program; i.e: a) temporary housing b) house hunting trips c) reimbursement of cost of selling home A1) These issues will be addressed after contract award. Q2) What is the salary range or Government Grade for this position? A2) The base pay salary range for this position is $125,972 - $138,200, Washington, DC locality included. Q3) Is there a requirement as to where this person lives? (Town or Area) A3) A: No. Q4) During the interview process, do you cover travel expenses or is it in the price of submission? A4) The Department of the Navy may chose to cover interview expenses for those individuals making the final selection certificate. The Department of the Navy will not cover expenses for the research firm in their interview process. Q5) Is there a formal format that I should use to bid on this solicitation?(Word Doc formatted a certain way, or a Form that is unique to your office.) A5) No specific format is required, however, provide your proposal for a firm fixed price contract for the following item: CLIN 0001 Executive Recruiting Services. Your submission should be clear and address all items in the synopsis notice. The Technical Proposal should be separate from the pricing. Q6) I understand that this solicitation is for ONE position is that correct? A6) Yes. Q7) Can you help better understand what this position capacity will be? A7) Here's a brief summary of the position: the position is located within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) (ASN(M&RA) . The Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Civilian Personnel/Equal Employment Opportunity) (DASN(CP/EEO)) formulates and issues department policy guidance and direction of civilian personnel and equal employment opportunity (EEO) programs for appropriated and non-appropriated fund personnel. The DASN(CP/EEO) monitors and evaluates civilian personnel and EEO programs to assure effectiveness and compliance with laws, regulations, and guidance and policies of the Secretary of the Navy. The DASN(CP/EEO) represents the ASN(M&RA) and is the principal point of contact with cognizant policy-setting and operating officials throughout the Department of Defense, Office of Personnel Management, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, other agencies, and private industry on matters affecting civilian personnel and EEO. The DASN directs the work of an immediate staff and provides specific guidelines and policy framework to the Director, Office of Civilian Human Resources. The closing date for Solicitation N00600-03-Q-0618 has been changed. The new closing date is 2PM on Friday January 3, 2003.
