- NA This is an intent to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302 with Raeford Parachute Center, Inc. to provide Parachute Packers for approximately 3900 each (8-Way Teams), 400 each (Tandem Teams) and 1200 each (Tandem-Camera and Training Teams) keeping with the requirement of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that the main parachute must be packed by a FAA certified rigger. This is a sole source procurement because Raeford Parachute Center, Inc. is the only known source that has both the required FAA certifications, and the ability to complete this requirement in the time required. Interested parties may identify interest and capability by submitting technical and pricing data within 15 days of publication of this notice to the a ddress above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all proposals received within 15 days after publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers receive d in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source or offerors are available and more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be awarded without further notice. A det ermination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
