- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for 1680 MHz (ART) Type IIA radiosondes. Only radiosonde models which are included on the applicable NWS Qualified Products List may be offered in response to this solicitation. Information concerning the applicable NWS Qualified Products List may be obtained by contacting Richard Petersen, NWS Code W/OPS22, at telephone (301) 713-2093 extension 102. The Government may make multiple awards from the solicitation if beneficial to the Government. The envisioned contract(s) will be on an indefinite quantity basis and will be for an ordering period not to exceed three years. Deliveries of new radiosondes may extend beyond the end of the ordering period by approximately one year. The maximum quantity of radiosondes to be acquired will be approximately 154,000. Solicitation WG9220-3-00001 will be issued on or about January 31, 2003 and will close on or about March 4, 2003. See Notes 12 and 26.
