Description
The Department of the Interior is seeking applications from private companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and non-profit entities wishing to purchase exhibit space at the 2003 Conference on the Environment, May 13-15, 2003, in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference is expected to draw between 400 - 500 facility and environmental managers from throughout the Department of the Interior and from other federal agencies. A limited number of booths are available. Based on the theme of the conference, the intended audience, and to ensure a diverse set of exhibits, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (a conference sponsor), in consultation with other conference organizers, will be selecting applications from interested exhibitors based on preference criteria. For additional information, please go to the website at: http://www.doi.gov/conference/environment CATEGORIES OF EXHIBITS SOUGHT Conference organizers are particularly seeking exhibitors related to the following categories: 1. Environmentally Preferable or Green Products (particularly vendors of products targeted for purchase by DOI, including): - re-refined lubricating oil - biobased lubricating and hydraulic oils - reclaimed engine coolant - retread tires - recycled-content and process-chlorine-free copy paper, paper towels, bathroom tissue - other office paper products - recycled-content plastic trash bags - recycled-content/refurbishable/biobased-content carpeting products - non-paper office products (plastic desk accessories, waste receptacles, etc.) - sorbents - non-toxic, biodegradable janitorial and equipment cleaners - recycled latex paint - plastic lumber (dimensional, signs, etc.) - other Comprehensive Procurement Guideline designated products 2. Environmentally Preferable Services - contract service companies employing environmentally preferable practices - office product recycling service companies - toner cartridges, electronic equipment (e.g., computers and video monitors) 3. Environmental Management Services - Environmental Management Systems (EMS) consulting services - compliance audit and pollution prevention consulting - facilities management providers with environmental performance emphasis - environmental site assessments for real property acquisition - resource trust management services 4. Pollution Prevention and Remediation Technologies - pollution prevention equipment, site remediation services 5. Environmental Education training providers - environmental and health/safety - environmental regulatory compliance
