Description

The United States Penitentiary, Leavenworth, KS., is soliciting a contract to award a Non-Personal services contract for Dental Assistant (individual, firm, or institution). The awarded contractor will be required to provide, on site, Dental services to federally incarcerated inmates. The Government intends to make a single award contract, which will include two option years, for this requirement. Approximately, thirty (30) one-hour sessions per week to be delivered as follows: each session is to be one (1) hour in length, estimated at 876 sessions for the base year. The contractor shall perform each session Monday through Friday, 7:30 am through 4:00 pm. A security investigation/clearance is required to be submitted for all individuals working within the USP Leavenworth institution. The award of the contract does not constitute an employee/employer relationship. The contractor will not be supervised, but will be monitored to determine if services rendered are in compliance with the contract terms and conditions. The contractor will adhere to specific rules and regulations of the department and institution. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be available on or after 10 January 03 and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site "www.fedbizopps.gov". Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances and only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
