Description
This is a Sources Sought synopsis. In accordance with FAR Part 10, Market Research, and FAR Part 15.202, Advisory Multi-Step Process, this synopsis is for Neonatal Screening. This request for sources is limited to the East Coast due to our location. This is a Market Survey and Request for information to locate potential sources to provide Laboratory tests of newborn blood screening tests, which shall consist of an initial newborn screening and the recommended routine subsequent sample collected at the first well baby visit. The 65th Medical Group via Federal Express will submit specimens. The preferred method of payment is the Government Purchase Credit Card. This makes the administration between the 65th Lajes Base Clinic located in the Azores on the Island of Terceira, and the Contractor much more efficient. The contractor shall provide Laboratory tests of newborn blood screening tests, which shall consist of an initial newborn screening and the recommended routine subsequent sample collected at the first well baby visit. If it is demonstrated that two or more small business concerns have the capability to perform this requirement, procedures under FAR Part 19 utilizing the appropriate small business set-aside program may be initiated. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. Support Requirement: Below is a list of the disorders, which are screened on the initial sample, and the analyte tested to determine if any disorder is present Disorder: PKU, BCK (MSUD), Homocystinuria, Hypothyroidism, Galactosemia, Hemoglobinopathies Biotinidase deficiency, Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia. Analyte: Phynylalnine, Leucine, Methionine, Thyroxine (TSH only if the Thyroxine is low) GALT (galactose transferase enzyme, formely identified as ?Beutler test? and total galactose formerly identified as ?sugar?), Hemoglobin, Biotinidase, 17-OHP The other disorders on the initial screening panel are only included on the subsequent Screening if the initial screen was not within normal limits or unsatisfactory for other reasons. The subsequent screening test includes the following: Disorder: PKU, BCK (MSUD), Homocystinuria, Tyrosinemia, Hypothyroidism Analyte: Phenylalanine, Leucine, Methionine, Tyrosine, Thyroxine (TSH only if the Thyroxine is low) Lab results shall be E-Mailed or Faxed to the 65th Medical Group. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary and any offer submitted by such a firm will be evaluated without prejudice.
