Description: NA 84--Lightweight Helmets. The Government has a requirement for lightweight pilot helmets for the RAH-66 Comanche helicopter. The initial requirement is for a total of 96 helmets (Part number 96D9607) and 8 spare helmet shell assemblies (Part number 96D703 ) in various sizes. The Government anticipates awarding a four-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from this solicitation, with a maximum of 400 helmets over the four years. The Government does not possess drawings or other techn ical data which would permit on competition on these items. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. See note 22.
