Description

Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for the construction of complete new wastewater plant, lift station, collection lines and force main; the construction of new water treatment plant, intake structure associated piping; and the rehabilitation of an existing pump station. The project location is at Norris Junction in Yellowstone National Park. Performance period is 850 Calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The combination of the following factors, listed in descending order of importance, are considered significantly more important than price and will be used to determine the contractor's level of capability. 1) Demonstrated capability of the contractor (including subcontractors) as indicated by qualifications, performance, and planning relative to the construction of water and wastewater treatment and handling facilities. 2) Key personnel qualifications and experience relative to water and wastewater facility construction. 3) The contractor's experience (minimum five years) documenting ten recent successful projects with specific applications to water and wastewater handling facility construction. 4) Contractor's proposed work plan for completing the project on time, diligently, and safely in accordance with the Government's construction schedule. 5) The contractor's demonstrated experience in constructing this type of facility in locations such as Yellowstone National Park that are remote and subject to extreme and varied weather conditions. The solicitation will be available on or about January 22, 2003. The plans and specifications will be provided on a CD ROM disc.
