Description
The purpose of the modification is to provide the following Questions and Answers from the Site Visit conducted on 3 January 2003 at Heritage Auditorium, Bldg E-2929, Fort Bragg, NC. 1. Question: Does the new carpet extend beyond the doors on the stage and the side of the stage? Answer: Carpet will not extend beyond the doors. It will be cut off at the door, finished appropriately, and the finished edge will not be visible from the auditorium. 2. Question: Will the carpet on the stage be replaced? Answer: Yes 3. Question: Will the replacement seating have upholstered arms? Answer: The arms shall be high impact plastic or solid. Plastic laminate arms and upholstered arms are not acceptable. The seat pans and backs shall not be upholstered. 4. Question: Is the floor concrete and how was the existing seating installed? Answer: The floor and stage is concrete. The original seating was shot in. The Contractor will not be able to anchor the replacement seating to the floor using the same location. Contractor shall be responsible for filling all voids or depressions from the existing seating. 5. Question: Is all the seating the same dimension? Answer: The seating is different dimensions to create better visibility for the audience and to provide wheelchair accessibility. 6. Question: Will the seating be ADA Compliant? Answer: The seating shall be ADA Compliant. The end seats on rows two and three shall have side opening capability and removable for handicap accessibility. The following requirements are added to the solicitation: The Government will dispose of the existing seating after the Contractor removes it from the Auditorium. The Contractor shall be responsible for all measurements. A drawing of the Auditorium is available upon request. All requests shall be submitted in writing to Ms.Ella Porter, Contract Specialist, at portere@soc.mil. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
